Transparency
It is not uncommon for professionals to avoid publicising their fees and ask interested parties to enquire about costs. Although there will be times when unique packages need to be specifically designed and priced, I do not ethically subscribe to view that all prices should not be publicly available. I think it can leave future potential clients and professional contacts feeling anxious or awkward.
I think people should be empowered with as much information as they need beforehand, so they can decide if they want to move forward to having a conversation with me about any piece of future work. I am confident in my skills and experience and feel comfortable describing that monetary value in an open way. Please scroll down for a comprehensive menu of my prices.
Pricing: Therapeutic Interventions
£80 per session
Play Therapy, Autplay Therapy
This includes a 45 minute Therapy session plus the setting up time and cleaning/tidying time of the playroom before and after the session. This price is for an individual child.
£80 per hour
Filial Therapy
Where there is a larger or more complex family situation, Filial Therapy sessions may need to be longer than an hour to ensure the needs of all the individual children and their parents are fully considered.

Lego-Based Therapy
This includes a 45 minute Therapy session plus the setting up time and cleaning/tidying time of the playroom before and after the session. This price is per session and the cost can be shared between up to three children, dependent on the complexity of their needs.

Full Pre-Therapy Assessment
Play Therapy, Filial Therapy, Autplay Therapy
This price includes background reading of all relevant reports, home visits to persons with P.R, consultation with all relevant professionals (i.e. school staff, social work, health care professionals), school observation of the child (if required), 1:1 direct assessment session with child and a full, comprehensive report distributed to all agreed parties.

Where there are some relevant recent assessments in place, it can be possible to reduce the cost of the Full Pre-Therapy Assessment. All quotes will be individually generated based upon each unique request put forward.

Intake Assessment
Lego-Based Therapy
This price includes much briefer discussions with the relevant people in the child’s life, as Lego-Based Therapy is not a form of psychotherapy (Play Therapy and Filial Therapy require a lot more detail and reflection). It also includes a brief assessment session with the child and a summary report (distributed to all agreed parties).
Pricing: Consultation and Reviews
Free
Initial Consultation & Contracting
I am able to provide initial consultations about potential referrals to my service for free. All discussions relating to agreeing and producing a business contract for any piece of work is also provided free of charge. Typically these conversations would occur over the telephone.

Formal Meeting Attendance
Most commonly, this would be professional group review meetings about a child or family’s therapeutic intervention. However, I am willing to consider invitations to other professional formal meetings that are arranged to discuss the child or family’s wider needs, i.e. health, social care or education co-ordinated meetings. These meetings can take place face to face or via Zoom.

1:1 Professional Case Consultation
If an individual profession is unable to attend a group formal meeting or would like some time to discuss my opinions/recommendations about working with any particular client in more detail, individual consultation appointments can be arranged. This is not to be confused with supervision (a process where we would consider the development of person’s professional practice). Consultation can take place face to face or via telephone/zoom.
Pricing: Formal Reports

Summary/Review Reports
This report details progress within time periods (i.e. what has happened since the assessment to the end of the first term of therapy) or can briefly summarise points made in review meetings/professional meetings.

Discharge Report
This detailed report will summarise the entire intervention, from assessment, through to the progress of the intervention, review information and conclusion (including any recommendations/further actions).

Court Reports
There is no set fee for Court Reports due to the variety of requests that can come in. All quotes will be individually generated based upon each unique request put forward.
Pricing: Travel and Mileage
£0.25 per mile
Adoption Support Fund Mileage
As outlined in the statutory guidance.

50% of hourly rate
Travel Time
Generally speaking, travel time is chargeable at 50% of the intervention hourly rate. Travel time can be reduced if the family are willing to travel to Gosport, Hampshire and/or if there is another client within a similar radius with whom costs can be shared with.

Room Hire
Generally speaking, I will see children in their schools, families in their homes and professionals in their workplaces - both to minimise client/referrer costs and to minimise disruption to families daily routine. If it is not possible to meet in these places any room hire costs will be billed to the client/referrer.

Filial Therapy Kit
The client/referrer may wish to buy the specific play resources required for Filial Therapy themselves, or I can provide them at the cost of £150. These resources should be new to the child (to avoid existing emotional attachment and memories) and will not be available to children other than for Filial Therapy sessions.

I do not have a discount scheme in place. From time to time discounts may be offered on a discretionary case by case basis.
