Design Matters: Recording and Reporting
In the caring professions, we often reinforce the importance of thinking about containers and how this can impact how people feel about themselves. We would not, for example, want to move clients/patients possessions in bin bags as we are in turn not communicating respect and value for them as people. We show respect and care for children in care, for example, by providing nice bags and containers for their possessions, that we handle with respect.
I take this same ethos into the recording and reporting documents I produce for my clients. I want my clients to know that they matter. I communicate this by producing clear, accessible documents that contain, analyse and record their information in a helpful way. I also communicate this by ensuring that the visual design of everything I produce reflects the same level of respect, thought and high quality that I put into the written content of the document.

My Template Range
